Когда пользователь выбирает элемент в CCombo (или CCombo фокус усиления), текст в поле становится выбранным. Как я могу программно удалить этот выбор и установить позицию курсора в конце текста?

Вы можете добавить выбор и фокус слушателя и изменить там положение курсора с setSelection, например:
