В моем приложении в настройках я использую EditTextPreference, а в поле android API uder 11 edittext имеет черный фон и черный цвет текста. Как я могу изменить цвет фона EditTextPreferences?

Я пробовал: в теме:

Я думаю, что эффект вы наблюдали это ошибка в эмуляторе Gingerbread. После изменения темы активности и перезапуска эмулятора EditTextPreference появился, как указано выше.

Первый продлить EditTextPreference и переопределить onPrepareDialogBuilder, инвертирование цвета фона для версий ниже Honeycomb:
