Я модернизировал Google Play услуги (карты, расположение и GCM) от 9.0.0 до 9.2.0

compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-gcm:9.2.0' 

Затем я добавил этот депе ndency:

compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-places:9.2.0' 

И это работает как шарм :)

я добавил последнюю версию com.google.android.gms от: https://developers.google.com/android/guides/releases и добавил force = true для модулей GMS я использую:
