Увидев обратную трассировку, я не вижу никакого другого вызова python. И тогда в голову пришла идея: поскольку вы пытаетесь сделать плагин itunes (C) с Cython (Python), интерпретатор Python может не инициализироваться. Вам нужно создать промежуточный файл C для бутстринга интерпретатора python и инициализировать модуль cython до его фактического использования:
